Harris Gurny is a New York-based film director and producer whose work has premiered at Venice, TIFF, Tribeca, and SXSW. His feature directorial debut, Adulting, wrapped production in October 2025 and is currently in post-production. The coming-of-age romantic comedy stars Jake Ryan, Dagmara Dominczyk, and Kelsey Asbille.
As a producer, his latest feature On The End, starring Tim Blake Nelson, Mirielle Enos and Anna Chlumsky, screened at the 2025 TIFF Industry Selects and Hamptons Film Festival. His previous film Coup!, starring Peter Sarsgaard and Billy Magnussen, premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival and is currently on Hulu. Additionally, he co-produced the documentary ASCO: Without Permission, executive produced by Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna, which premiered at SXSW in 2025, as well as The God Committee, starring Kelsey Grammer, Julia Stiles and Colman Domingo, which premiered at Tribeca in 2021.
As a writer-director, his short film Day at the Zoo premiered at the 2022 Maryland Film Festival and has garnered 60,000+ views online. His short film Mustache had its online premiere on NoBudge in 2021 after a festival run. Harris has written ten feature scripts and started his career as a production assistant on films directed by Steven Soderbergh and the Safdie Brothers.
